Terms of Service

1. The service

BORME Events API ("the service", bormeapi.com) provides programmatic access to normalized data derived from BORME — Boletín Oficial del Registro Mercantil, Spain's official commercial-registry gazette — via a REST API, webhooks, email alerts and related tooling. The service republishes and enriches public-sector information; the official gazette at boe.es remains the authoritative record.

2. Accounts and API keys

Access requires an API key. Keys are personal to you or your organization; you are responsible for keeping them confidential and for all usage under them. We may throttle or suspend keys that exceed their plan's limits or that we reasonably believe are abusive (resale of raw feeds, attempts to disrupt the service, or unlawful use).

3. Plans, billing and cancellation

Paid plans are billed as monthly or annual subscriptions. Payments are processed by Paddle as merchant of record; Paddle handles invoices, VAT and payment data. You can cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. To cancel, use the “Manage subscription” link in any Paddle receipt email; if you no longer have the receipt, write to [email protected] and we will send you the link. See our refund policy.

4. Data, accuracy and acceptable use

• The data originates from the official BOE open-data API. We measure and publish our parse quality, but we do not warrant that the data is error-free or complete; verify against the official gazette before relying on it for legal or financial decisions.
• Personal names contained in the registry are public-sector information published under Spanish law. You must process them in compliance with applicable data-protection law; see our privacy policy for the suppression procedure.
• You may use the data in your products, including commercial ones. You may not misrepresent the service as an official government source.
• Some records are enriched from public registers whose publishers attach conditions to onward sale. Where a publisher requires it, the condition is stated with the data: responses that draw on the official registers of the Comisión Nacional del Mercado de Valores carry a notice that the same information can be obtained free of charge from the CNMV at cnmv.es. We state it here as well, before you pay, because the CNMV requires both. What you pay us for is collection, normalisation, resolution and delivery — never exclusive access to public facts.

5. Availability and changes

The service is provided "as is", currently in early access. We aim for high availability but do not offer an SLA on self-serve plans. We may change or discontinue features with reasonable notice to subscribers.

6. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising from the service is limited to the amounts you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.

7. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Spain. Disputes are subject to the courts of Spain, without prejudice to mandatory consumer rights.
